De European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) kondigde aan dat ze in het komende decennium een stijging van het aantal jobs in de Europese windsector verwachten tot 250.000 nieuwe jobs. Er is dus een vraag naar geschoolde onderhoudstechnici voor de sector.
TrainWind wil aan deze vraag tegemoet komen door e-learning modules te ontwikkelen voor de sector op basis van een behoeftenanalyse.
