International colaboration

The department maintains close relations and actively collaborates with a few foreign universities. The partners of the department are University of Ghent, Belgium, University of Patras, Greece, the Technical University of Tampere, Finland, University of Nant, France. For the last five years the department has taken part in four TEMPUS and Reassume projects. More than 20 students prepared their diploma or Ph.D. theses and followed courses within the frames of European mobility projects.

Research and development activities in the department are directed mainly to the following areas:

  • Microprocessor Data Acquisition and Control Systems;
  • Power Electronics;
  • Medical Electronics and Biosignal Processing;
  • Analog and Mixed IC Design;
  • Digital Circuits Design with FPGA;
  • Digital Signal Processing.
