Laboratory of CAD systems

MAIN EDUCATIONAL SUBJECTS: Computer aided design in electronics, Digital circuits, VHDL - based design, Design of digital circuits with FPGA, Computer simulations in electronics, Modern methods for analysis and synthesis of electronic circuits, Microelectronics

RESEARCH SUBJECTS: Applications of modern CAD systems for analysis and synthesis of electronic circuits; Automation in of engineering for electronics and microelectronics; Test and diagnostics of analog and mixed circuits; Design of digital circuits with VHDL; FPGA designs in image processing.

The laboratory has been reconstructed and renewed with modern laboratory equipment and specialized software. Main contributions the laboratory's base had been obtained trough execution of several scientific projects, namely: INI08MON (2005 ÷ 2008), funded by the National Scientific Fund; various projects funded by TU-Varna's scientific resource.

The laboratory works in close cooperation with several companies, where a main is the Bulgarian division of ZMD.    

The laboratory has 10 work stations and capacity that allows activities with up to 16 students. The laboratory operates with various software that has instructions and methodological text in both Bulgarian and English.
