Laboratory of power electronics

EDUCATIONAL SUBJECTS: Power electronics; Power supplies; Industrial electronics; Electronics systems in renewable energy sources;

RESEARCH SUBJECTS: Power electronic semiconductor and magnetic components, circuits and structures; Electrical drives; Smart grids; Industrial electrical devices.

The laboratory is fitted with 8 work stations for research and educational activities, where its capacity allows the simultaneous work of 16 students or 4 researchers. The available equipment includes a broad range of modern devices for measurement and test. Each workspace has a: digital oscilloscope, functional generator, power supplies, and various sets of loads. In addition the laboratory has specialized equipment that includes: 2 digital oscilloscopes with galvanic insulation for power electronics, 1 high power variable AC power supply, a milling machine for prototyping PCBs and planer magnetic components. A broad range of development kits and components on stock are available for both education and research. Currently two projects funded by the national scientific fund are carried in laboratory.
