       Nikola Nikolov is born on 26th of May 1960. In 2009 he defends his PhD thesis on the topic of: "Evaluation of Algorithms for Generation of Modal Adaptive State Regulators". In 2013 he becomes an Associate Professor in the Department of Automation.
        He is leading courses on: "Technological Precesses Automation", "Industrial Automation Systems" and "Intelligent Building Automation Systems".
        His main areas of research are process automation, adaptive control for industrial applications, building automation and marine resorce management.
        He has been supervisor for more than 100 graduated students, worked on 20 state funded projects, in 2 of which he was the project leader. He has authored more than 75 research articles, 1 text book, 1 supplementary text book and 1 book, printed in the USA. He is a member of Union of Automatics and Informatics. Currently he is Head of the Automation Department.
