DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND
FOREIGN LANGUAGES
The Department of Mathematics and Foreign
Languages (D„MFL”) is a basic unit of TU-Varna and is established under a Decision of the Academic Board of TU-Varna on 07th December
2009. (Protocol №3).
The „MFL” Department has two sections – „Mathematics” and „Foreign Languages”. Until its establishment the section of „ Mathematics” was included as a department of „Mathematics” in the Faculty of Computing and Automation, while the „Foreign Languages” section was a Department of „Foreign Languages”.
Appointed as an Acting Director was assoc.
prof. PhD Srebra Blagoeva - former Head of the
Department of „Mathematics”.
Following the elections to the Director and the Board of the Department of ”Mathematics and Foreign Languages”, held in February 2010, assoc. prof. PhD Srebra Blagoeva came into office as the Director, and elected for Vice Directors were chief assist. prof. PhD Elenka Gencheva– for the section of „Mathematics” and sr. lect. Valya Kaschieva-Mavrodieva –for the section of „Foreign Languages ”.
Currently (06.2011), the „MFL” Department has 26 full-time lecturers appointed on permanent employment. „Mathematics” section has 18 lecturers – 4 associate-professors, 5 chief assistant-professors PhDs, 5 chief assistant-professors and 4 assistants.
„Foreign Languages” section has 8 lecturers - 6 senior lecturers and 2 lecturers.
