The overall strategy for research
development in the section of „Foreign
Languages” calls for improvement of academic
staff qualification through participation in scientific conferences and
publishing of the proceedings and the outcomes
of research, bringing research and training into balance.

last
3 years all the lecturers in „Foreign Languages” section,
pursuing thorough research into linguistics, took part in various scientific
conferences, presenting 48 papers, published in full-text and 10 more articles published in
national refereed journals (8 single-authored and 2 co-authored).
What has
never been done before in the research activity in the field of Foreign
Languages is the academic staff participation during the 2008 - 2009 period in research
target projects, funded by the state budget, with the total amount of the projects being 2.
